About the Seminar:

The growing need for standardization of pharmaceutical compounding, technological advances, and globalization of the pharmaceutical practice, has initiated our advocacy to spread awareness on hazardous drug handling and knowledge of safety standards among healthcare institutions.

Learning Objectives:

1. To explain pharmacy compounding guidelines, to describe the roles of the USP and the FDA regarding standards, and relevant regulatory requirements associated with compounding practices.
2. To describe requirements and recommendations for engineering controls used in compounding to understand the value of addressing hazardous drug management and containment issues.
3. To impart the necessary compounding knowledge and skills among pharmacists.
